BMW steering wheels are vehicle-specific. Different BMW models can use different button layouts, airbag attachments, mounting systems and factory functions such as heating, vibration, lane assistance and paddle shifters.

We therefore check your vehicle before confirming an order. This avoids receiving a wheel that looks correct but does not match the required configuration.

We may request additional photographs, factory equipment details or the VIN when required for an exact check.

The steering wheel is selected and configured to retain the supported original vehicle functions. The exact button layout is checked before ordering, particularly on BMW G-Series vehicles where several factory versions may exist.

Additional controls that were not originally supported by the vehicle do not automatically add a new vehicle function.

If your BMW already had functional paddle shifters from the factory, the compatible upgraded wheel can retain that function.

A wheel with paddles can also be installed for appearance on a vehicle that did not originally have them, but the paddles will not function unless the required vehicle-side retrofit is completed separately by a qualified specialist.

M1 and M2 buttons function as intended when the vehicle originally supports those functions and the correct configuration is selected.

Installing an M1 or M2 button design does not automatically add these vehicle functions to a BMW that did not have them from the factory. Additional specialist retrofitting may be possible on selected vehicles but is separate from the steering wheel itself.

Steering wheel heating can be retained only when the selected wheel construction supports it and the vehicle originally has the required heating equipment.

Carbon fiber steering wheel sections cannot be heated. A customer may therefore choose to remove the heating function when selecting a carbon fiber configuration.

If the original steering wheel contains a vibration motor or other driver-assistance components, this must be identified before ordering.

Depending on the chosen configuration, the supported components can either be retained or intentionally omitted. We confirm the available solution during the compatibility check.

A modern F-style steering wheel conversion is available for selected BMW E-Series models. Compatibility depends on the exact vehicle, existing controls and required components.

Supported original functions are matched during the configuration process. Functions that were not present in the vehicle are not automatically added by changing the steering wheel.

Yes. Selected original E-Series-style steering wheels can be rebuilt or supplied with upgraded materials such as leather, Alcantara or carbon fiber while maintaining the familiar overall design.

Custom stitching, center stripes and an optional LED rev limiter display may also be available.

The display reads supported information from the vehicle's CAN bus. Progressive LEDs illuminate as engine RPM increases, creating a visible shift-light sequence.

The central screen can display supported information such as speed, RPM, oil temperature and other available vehicle data. Available information may vary depending on the BMW model.

The LED colors and shift-light appearance can be customized through the integrated display controls.

Yes. The LED sections can use one uniform color or a custom sequence with different colors across the individual stages.

Available colors may include red, green, yellow, blue, pink and additional selectable tones.

Yes. The grip areas can be configured separately from the upper and lower sections of the steering wheel.

For example, you can combine carbon fiber upper and lower sections with perforated leather or Alcantara hand grips.

Yes. Many steering wheel configurations are custom-made. Depending on material availability, you can select custom leather colors, grip materials, contrast stitching, M tri-color stitching and different center-stripe designs.

Yes. In addition to fully custom-made configurations, selected preconfigured designs may be available at a lower price.

These designs still require a vehicle compatibility check before an order is confirmed.

Airbag compatibility and supply are handled individually. Depending on the vehicle and selected steering wheel, the compatible original BMW airbag may be retained or a different vehicle-specific solution may be required.

Airbags are not universal, and visually similar BMW airbags may use different shapes or attachment systems. The exact configuration must therefore be checked before ordering.

Airbag systems are safety-critical. Installation and any related work should be carried out by an appropriately qualified automotive professional.

Professional installation is strongly recommended. Steering wheel removal can involve the airbag system, electrical connectors, correct alignment and model-specific mounting procedures.

Installation should be completed by a qualified automotive professional who is familiar with BMW steering wheel and airbag systems.

Selected installation services are available by appointment in the UAE and Northern Germany. Availability depends on the vehicle, steering wheel configuration and location.
